14 – JATHEDAR BABA SURJEET SINGH JI

Baba Surjeet Singh Ji was the 14th Jathedar of the Budha Dal. Born on June 7, 1945 in Murar, Amritsar, he served in the Punjab police before joining the Budha Dal in 1970. Baba Surjeet Singh Ji was known for his selfless service and care of the sacred horses. He participated in the karsewa of Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib and held important roles within the Budha Dal under the guidance of previous Jathedars. He was unjustly imprisoned and faced challenges during his tenure as Jathedar. Baba Surjeet Singh Ji passed away on September 3, 2014 in Patiala Jail, leaving a lasting impact on the Sikh community.
