(Bhai Gurdaas Ji Vaaran)

The third manifestation of Sri Akaal Purakh is Guru Amar Daas Ji. Guru Ji were born on 23 May 1479 to Mata Bakht Devi and Tej Bhan Bhalla in Basarke village, Amritsar.

Guru Amar Daas Ji preached about the qualities of an ideal devotee of Sri Akaal Purakh. He taught against meaningless rituals (such as sati) and encouraged the Kshatriya people to fight for the protection of innocents and saints, all for the establishment of Dharma. It was none other than Guru Amar Daas Ji who had chosen the site in the Amritsar village to establish what would later become the Harimandir Sahib (the temple of Hari – the one).

Guru Amar Daas Ji did Akaal Chalana in 1 September 1574 in Goindwal Sahib, and the Gurgaddi was passed onto Guru Raam Daas Ji.
