7) GURU HAR RAI SAHIB JI

The seventh Guru, Guru Har Rai Ji, was larger than the seven foreign countries and nine skies.
Millions of people from all the seven directions and nine boundaries are standing in attention at his gate and the holy angels and gods are his obedient servitors.

(Bhai Nand Laal Ji Vaaran)

The seventh manifestation of Sri Akaal Purakh is Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji. Born on 16 January 1630 at Kiratpur Sahib, Lahore. Guru Ji received Gurgaddi at aged 14 on 3 March 1644.

Guru Ji was notable for keeping the Akaal Sena under control and yet avoid any conflict with the enemies of Dharma. Guru Ji were called by Aurangzeb to explain his association with Sufis. Guru Ji sent their eldest son Ram Rai to represent them. Ram Rai reportedly attempted to appease Aurangzeb by changing a Tuk in Gurbani regarding Islam. It is for this reason that Guru Ji excommunicated Ram Rai and nominated his younger son (Guru Har Krishan) to succeed him. (Note; the Ram Raiyas are still excommunicated to this day. They are part of the five groups that a Sikh should not associate with.)

Guru Ji did Akaal Chalana in 1661 and Guru Har Krishan was chosen as the eighth Guru.
